Chicago, IL...The Premier Basketball league announced today that in conjunction with the National Combine tryout in Chicago, IL, the Premier Basketball League officiating staff and their Supervisor of Officials, Phil DiMaso, will conduct a tryout on August 8 for any official that has interest in becoming part of the PBL officiating staff.
The PBL official's tryouts will be held at the famed Attack Athletics facility from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The Attack Athletics Center is a 65,000 sq, ft. facility that boasts four NBA sized basketball courts, seating for 1,000 people, and four locker rooms.
Pre registration is required and Officials can download the Registration Form and Consent and Liability Waiver here. The fee is $75.00 USD. Money orders or certified checks should be made out to the Premier Basketball League, Inc. and sent directly with the waivers and registration forms by July 31st 2009. Only 40 officials will be allowed to tryout and no official will be admitted to the staff without attending this tryout. Payment and forms should be sent to:

Officials are advised to arrive at 8:00 AM to get dressed and warm up. There will be a short briefing on PBL rules and mechanics at 9:00. Black pants or black shorts and black/white referee shirt must be worn.
For lodging, officials should stay at The Oaks Hotel for a discounted rate of $59.00 per night – say you are under the Premier Basketball League. Complimentary shuttle service is provided to and from Chicago’s Midway Airport (MDW) and O’Hare International Airport (ORD).
